Pembroke Pines/Miramar

West of Hollywood are Pembroke Pines and adjacent Miramar. Pembroke Pines, primarily residential and commercial in nature, is Greater Fort Lauderdale's 6th largest municipality and is still undergoing rapid growth.

At Pembroke Lakes Mall, shoppers will find several large chain department stores.

Three hundred twenty acres of hiking and bike trails beckon at C.B. Smith park, where RV hookups are available for visitors with camping interests. Canoes and paddle boats can be rented, as well as aquacycles. A 700-foot water slide has speedy, slippery slopes for kids young and old. Also at this waterpark are 80 acres of lakes, miniature golf, and lighted tennis courts.

Brian Piccolo Park is a 180-acre sports park where one can play on football, baseball, softball, or soccer fields or on tennis, racquet ball, or basketball courts. It also has a playground, picnicking facilities, and fishing on a small lake.
